Each session is for 50 minutes, please call me to discuss session rates

(concessions are considered on a case by case basis).

I offer a free 20 minute consultation, usually by telephone or added on to the initial session.

The number of sessions needed varies with each individual. It is important that you feel comfortable with me and you will know after a couple of sessions if you like this style of therapy.

I offer a safe, confidential place for my clients to talk openly, without judgement.

If you are struggling to cope with everyday life, anxiety, depression or relationship issues, Emotional Therapy can help you to overcome the obstacles that are stopping you from moving forward in a positive way. We suppress emotions as we go through life because they are too painful to deal with.

Emotional Therapy will help you to make the connections why you are feeling like you are. But the process, which is very supportive and gentle, rather than using the mind to analyse things, seeks to promote healing of the original emotional wounds by working through the feelings.

I will offer you a safe place to talk and the assurance of confidentiality at all times. I have many years of experience in counselling people and have helped my clients to find positive ways to cope with the challenges that life presents.

My approach

My approach is always respectful, empathetic, non-judgemental and the pace is set by you. Everyone is different and I work with each of my clients according to their own individual needs. I use specific Emotional Therapeutic techniques to help clients to express their feelings. I am present for my client, listening and ready to support them through their life's story.

What to expect

Making the decision to have counselling is a positive step. It offers you space where you can talk freely and express your feelings and gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and why you are the way you are.  You will be able to talk about things that you might not feel comfortable discussing with anyone else.
The aim is to help you to understand yourself and to allow you to process and make changes. To learn to think about things in a different way, a healthier way, improving your emotional well being.

Train to become a Therapist

I am a trainer for The Academy of Emotional Therapeutic Counselling. The Academy offers certificate and Diploma counsellor training. The Level one Certificate is run over five weekends and so, can fit around work commitments. The course is the first stage of the therapy training, but can also be beneficial for personal growth

The Academy's Diploma training is accredited by the National Counselling Society.
